Dr. Subhash Ghosh obtained his early education from his native place (Paschim medinipur) from government school. Then he moved to Kolkata and completed his B.Sc (H) and M.Sc (Organic major) from Calcutta University and secured the 1st rank in M.Sc. Then he moved to CSIR-IICT for his Ph.D program and worked in the area of peptidomimetics under the guidance of Dr. T. K. Chakraborty. In 2001 he submitted his thesis and moved to University of Urbana Champaign for post-doctoral study. After spending one year in the lab of Prof. Eric Oldfield he moved to University of California San-Diego and worked with Prof. Emmanuel Theodorakis in the area of total synthesis of marine natural products. In 2004 he started his independent career and working intensively on the synthesis of biologically active complex natural products. His research group also works on the development of new route of APIs.
